IMPROVEMENT THROUGH SELF-ANALYSIS - Rise and Shine

IMPROVEMENT THROUGH SELF-ANALYSIS

IMPROVEMENT THROUGH SELF-ANALYSIS

Self analysis is a key to improvement in order to rise spiritually. We often heard that you must "Confess and God will forgive you". This is true but, but you must confess your sins to yourself and not to a priest. A priest has no power to forgive you. Who is that priest to forgive you? He may be more sinful than you are, so don't confess to a priest, confess to yourself. Tell yourself that you are bad, ask God Almighty to help you, and you can be sure that he will. If you ask God Almighty half-heartedly, it will not help. But if you are completely sincere and positive that you need to change he will Help you change for the better in no time.

Now Suppose a person thinks he is good but in reality, he is not. What about such persons? Many people think what they are doing is as per God's laws. They never have an ounce of realisation of how sinful they are. They will say, "I believe in God. I read holy books. I pray everyday. I go to the temple or church everyday or every week. I give plenty in charity. I give food, clothing and jobs to the poor and needy. What more does anyone want? I will surely go to heaven." Sorry to say, these poor souls think that heaven's door is wide open for them, but they will never even reach the lowest ladder of the heaven. It is really difficult for a soul on Earth to understand this, but it is true, they will not even see the lowest step of heaven. So read carefully with an open mind. Why are they going to a place of worship everyday? Some go to show people around them that they are so pious that they think of God often. Ask yourself," Can God Almighty ever be fooled?' You can fool your fellow men, but you will never be able to fool God Almighty".

Some go to a place of worship everyday or every week to ask God for more money, more happiness, and more success. What is this ? You are going there for your own selfish motive - not for God, but for yourself. Can a selfish motive carry you to heaven?
Suppose you are giving a great deal to charity. First ask yourself why. What is your motive behind giving to charity? Your motive is important. If your motive is entirely selfless - for example, if your motive is only to help someone, and it comes automatically - then of course, God is pleased and He knows why you gave, which was not to impress Him. But suppose your motive is to get into heaven, to impress God almighty by saying, "If I give this to a poor person, God will send me to heaven." You can be sure that God knows your motive and you won't be sent to heaven. You can fool each other, you can try to fool yourself, but you can never fool God Almighty. So your motive behind that charity is very very important. Be sincere in whatever you do even a tiny spark will bring you to heaven if you are sincere. But even the largest of charities will take you to hell if you are selfish and try to fool God Almighty. So this is entirely in your own hands isn't it?

WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO ANALYSE YOURSELF?

"Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom" is a famous quote by Aristotle after many years it still sounds meaningful. The key to development and growth both spirituality and physically is Self-Analysis. It has several benefits :
  • It is a key for our growth
  • It helps us to stay on our path
  • It helps us not to repeat the same mistake again and again.
  • It reveals weaknesses and strengths.
  • Only genuine desire can lead to change.
  • It helps to control our physical mind.
  • It helps to awaken our subconscious mind.
  • It builds confidence.
  • It helps us to make optimum use of our talents and opportunities.

HOW CAN WE DO SELF-ANALYSIS?

1. Talking to yourself and deeply understanding the cause and effect of consequences is the way of self introspection or self -analysis. We can point out our positive and negative actions and can look for the best possible way to deal it further. If we can be able to find our negative points there is a chance of improvement.
2. Examining our own mental and emotional well being thereby looking deeply into the situation and understanding how we react in a particular situation and not repeating the same negative behaviour.

YOU MUST HAVE COURAGE TO IMPROVE

I am bringing here a story for you from a book " The Laws of the spirit World" by Khorshed Bhavnagri. This is a true story of a boy name Anil. This story will show us how wrong we can be. Anil was a good soul but due to many bad influences in his childhood he choose wrong path that leads him to low realm. Anil's mother died when he was five years old and his father remarried. The step mother never liked Anil. When she had her own children, she completely neglected Anil and put him in cheap boarding school. The School was horrible and Anil fell into bad company and adopted their bad habits and manners. By the time he left school, Anil's father had died and his step mother left town without forwarding address or any contact details. He was left alone. He along with his friends started blackmailing and harassing rich young boys and girls. Anil and his friends moved from town to town, city to city, taking advantage of rich boys and girls.
One day, when he was on train with his friends, Anil saw a girl who was alone and from her attire she seemed to be rich, so they tried to befriend her. When she got off at a station, they followed her home. She was not rich, but they continued to pursue her. Somehow, Anil was successful in befriending her and they fell in love.
She was a very honest and kind- hearted girl - just the opposite of Anil - he fell blindly in love. He could not see any way to marry her, as he could not follow the straight path.  He dared to tell her that he was a vagabond and a crook, as he believed she thought him to be rich boy belonging to high society. He feared his two friends would ridicule him if he tried to follow the straight path.
Her influence made him want to break away from his two friends, and made him keen to change his ways. He wanted to walk on the straight path but he was upset as he could not see a way. His love was too strong for him to fool her. He now repented leading a bad life, but he had no courage to change. thinking he would never be able to make her happy, or follow the straight path, Anil left without telling the girl anything. He lost a very good opportunity, his life would have changed entirely, he would have become good and reached a higher level.
Anil's cowardice ruined his life. If he had gathered enough courage to speak frankly and honestly to the girl he would have found out that she already knew all about him through his friends, who had been keen to separate them. They had already told her everything, but she had made up her mind to marry Anil and improve him. She wanted to be sure that Anil truly loved her, but he left without even saying a word. what a big mistake he made!
" You should be brave enough to face and analyse your problems and change. You should never let go of an opportunity to turn from bad to good.".

Lastly I left you with a famous quote by an inspirational writer Israelmore Ayivor :
" The only way to make a spoilt machine work again is to break it down, work on its inner system and fix it again. Screw out the bolts of your life, examine and work on yourself, fix your life again and get going".

Thanks for reading!
