WHAT IS JUDGEMENT?

Judgement refers to the way a person compares himself/herself to others or how someone sees other person based on certain exterior factors. We often pass judgement after meeting or seeing someone without considering the other factors.

Social media has made it easy to pass judgements and to those who are connected to. We see posts and pictures of friends and loved ones and compare our lives, sometimes causing negative feelings and sometimes it encourages us to work harder. I found this very interesting quote by Jose Emilio Pascheco he said

" We are all hypocrites. We cannot see ourselves or judge ourselves the way we see and judge others". -

FACTS ABOUT JUDGEMENT

Every judgement is wrong because the whole world is so deeply inter connected unless you know the whole you cannot know the part.
Jesus said the very judgement will close you, it will shrink you.
It is the limited conditioning of our mind.
Where there is freedom and compassion there is no judgement.
Judgement has no meaning as it is based on opinions and doesn't include the fact.
Judgement is a waste of energy.

Osho said, This is the trouble. People judge others and they judge themselves too. when they judge themselves they feel guilty; when they judge others they take people's dignity and honour. This judgemental mind is a double-edged sword, it cuts both ways. It cuts you, it cuts others. It has destroyed the whole of humanity. He further added that people have judged you; you have accepted their idea without any scrutiny. And you are suffering from all kinds of people's judgements, and now you are throwing those judgements on other people. And this game has become out of proportion. The whole humanity is suffering from it. If you want to get out of it, the first things is. Don't judge yourself.

Buddha said, Those who judge will never understand, and those who understand will never judge. Nobody is superior, nobody is inferior, but nobody is equal either. People are simply unique, incomparable. You are you, I am I.

J. Krishnamurti said, The ability to observe without evaluating is the highest form of intelligence. The highest form of human intelligence is to observe yourself without judgement.

Lets think about this " When you Judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself".
